Happy Easter!

These cookies are made with ingredients that represent the story of Jesus' death and resurrection on the cross. We made them last night with our friend Federico.

Beating the pecans.

The infamous cheese face.

Stirring the egg whites. They present the life Jesus gave, so we could have life.

Fede reads in Spanish.

The cookies are made and ready for the "tomb"!

Closing the tomb . . .

Sealing the tomb . . .

Really enjoyed this posting. The cookies analogy is a great visual presentation for children...of course, I would have liked to taste those cookies, too.
Thanks for teaching our precious LP truth...always.

Jesse...I wante to know how you took the cookies out of the oven without using any hotpads...do you have abnormally unsensitive hands, or am I missing something???

Thanks for posting Julie - A great lesson that can be used every Easter. I like how Renae said "hot" when the oven was opened. So glad Freddy is your friend. You guys are a real testimony to him.

tarica-you put the cookies in at night, and then shut off the oven. i mean he DOES have super human powers . . . but not super human hands :)
