Wrapping Up . . .

We are so sad to say good-bye to our friends we've met during our time here, and we are so grateful He gave us such awesome relationships. But I can't make this post all sad and serious so instead I'll just post some pictures of our good times.

Happy Belated Easter and Other Miscellaneous

Hey everybody! It's me-Renae! I get to write today. Mommy has been slacking at this blogging thing so I'm stepping up and taking charge of todays post. Mommy and Daddy are busy with lots of other things anyways and all I have to do is put things in my mouth and work on eating more so I grow. Other than that, I've got lots of free time. So I decided to be a good family member and write for Mommy. Here is what I have been doing this past week!

My First Easter!

Please . . . no autographs.

No seriously. I'm too busy looking cute to sign your shirt.

I love watching Daddy play sports. He is so good!

A Visit to the Capital

Although the forecast predicted rain, we ventured out with just and umbrella and hit the streets of D.C. It ended up being a perfect day for walking all over the city because the temperature was great, and the sun was not out. However, during the last 15 mintues of our 5 mile walk back to Union Station, we did get dumped on. We threw an extra rain jacket over the stroller so at least Renae wasn't soaked, and made it just in time. I attribute the rain to my doubting Thomas Jesse. Shortly before the rain hit, I mentioned that it seemed He had been keeping the rain off all day so we could get things done. Then Jesse and his pessimistic self says that it will probably rain during the last half hour of our walk. I kid you not-within 20 minutes, the rain started flowing. Jesse thinks it's a fluke. We all know better. :) Good thing he's so cute and I still love him.

We had a great time and saw lots of neat sites. I had been there once before when I was in elementary school and those memories came back as I saw each familiar landmark. My Dad took us on some amazing vacations as a family and I'm so grateful for them! It was fun to revisit places with my new family.

Volleyball!

Our small group spent yesterday morning playing volleyball. It was a blast! For lunch we went out and had some REALLY good burgers. It hit the spot. This was a great relaxing weekend and it was well needed.

Jesse the super star!

This is how Renae spent the time.

"When do I get to play volleyball?"

Me and my buddy.

Seriously. That was a good burger.
